My history midterm covers 400 pages of reading.
It is not in any kind of order, chronological or otherwise. This fact makes it impossible to study for. I have learned more about Tudor England by reading Wikipedia (God bless Wikipedia) than I have by going to lecture and reading those godforsaken excuses for textbooks.
My professor also cannot give a coherent lecture to save her life. She also lacks the filter that eliminates the unncessary, pointless, trivial facts from the things we really need to know. Therefore, my notes are also of no help.
She expects us to be extremely detailed and give dates and etc. No way anyone can do this without the aid of a book as there are far too many.
The potential essay questions include: Assess the reign and life of Henry VIII; Compare Henry VII's foreign policy to Henry VIII's; Is it impossible to write a biography of Thomas More according to historiographers? Why/ why not? (I must add that NO ONE wrote anything down about this because it was so off topic so none of us have notes on this one and it's almost guaranteed to be a question); What were the causes of popular rebellions and what were their consequences (1485-1553)?; What were the causes and consequences of religious changes 1529-53?
There will be four questions and we have to pick two and write on them. The entire class is screwed.
I have given up. This is literally an impossible midterm. She did not bother to teach clearly, used unclear texts, and now we're all completely lost.
My midterm is at 4 pm. That is about 17 hours away. Pray for me.
