I got out of 5013!!!! Hooray! Now I get to take 2 classes that interest me next semester, instead of suffering through the ridiculously hard class that is a repeat of the equally hard research methods and lit. theory classes I took at Wright State.

So much to do, though, omg.
the girl I was having so many problems with dropped my class!!!

She missed 6 classes and refused to turn anything in, even after I gave her an extension to turn in her papers. She had told me her mother had recently passed, so I told her she could have a couple extra days to turn things in. She never turned them in, and then she missed a conference with me. I emailed her and told her to drop my class because there was no way she'd pass with so many absences and with not turning anything in to me. She emailed me back and said she missed her conference because someone else had died (she said this was the 5th person in her family since September to pass), and she'd just give me her papers on Thurs the 25. She also claimed she couldn't drop my class because it would put her below full-time status. I emailed her again with a novel, telling her that these certain 8 reasons were why she should still drop my class. She didn't bother to come to class on Thursday, and when I checked my class list today, she's dropped! One less headache to deal with!

Right. Shower, here I come.

PS: Mom, I love you dearly, but when I say that if you call me, please don't call early. Yes, Mom, 8:30 AM is early. I was trying to sleep in, and you woke me up. Please to be calling no earlier than 10 AM.
Insomnia sucks ass.

My class is not going real well this quarter. I switched to teaching 2 days a week, which means I teach for 100 minutes each day I have class. Pacing it well is throwing me off, and I lost my confidence again. I gave my class the option of turning things in via email, and the privilege is gone at the end of the month. Too many of them are abusing that policy, so it's going the way of the dodo. They were supposed to turn in their drafts yesterday (Thurs). By the time class started, 8 of them hadn't even started writing their drafts. I was not. pleased.

My IBS is flaring up slightly. I hate my body.

Matt and I are trying to eat healthier. I can count on one hand the times I've had fast food in the past 2 months.

We're hoping to move into our new, bigger apt. across the hall by the end of the month. I don't know if it will happen or not; my guess is that we'll move in early to mid February.

I wanna sleeeeepppp.

Yay!

So after months of coveting one, I finally got a new iMac! It's so shiiiny.

*gazes at new compy adoringly*

In other news, I can just tell that my class tomorrow is going to be a complete disaster. *fear*
Having class from 6-9:30 PM sucks major ass. So does getting home at 10 PM.

However, this class (so far) has reignited the library research nerd in me, so we'll see how this goes.
I finally told mom yesterday that Matt and I are going to Scotland. She actually didn't blow up at me, which was totally surprising. I told her that I wasn't 100% sure we were going becaue I wanted to be damn sure I could afford to finish school, wchih is obviously more important. I'll be fine, so we're going. Now for the part that really pisses me off. We are leaving on Thanksgiving Day. We were leaving very late on Thanksgiving to allow both us time to spend the holdiay with our families. We were scheduled to leave DAyton Int'l airport at 4:50 and then leave Newark around 7:50 for Glasgow. Note the use of the past tense. Matt found out yesterday, after I reassured my mother that yes, I would be home for part of the day, that we are now scheduled to leave Dayton at 10:15 AM. I am not a happy camper. Apparently, there were not enough people on the 4:50 flight, so they bumped all of us down to the 10:15, and there's nothing they can do about it. So we now have an 8 hour layover in Newark's airport on Thanksgiving Day. We also have an 8 hour layover in Newark when we come home too. Not. Happy.

To celebrate the upcoming end of the quarter, I bought two books tonight. One is The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett, and the other is Eragon by Christopher Paolini. I must resist the temptation to read both of these now as I'll probably take one of them on the plane with me.

List of things to do for my reference:
1) Email and print poems
2) Buy folder for 392 portfolio
3) Grocery shopping
4) Write up comments for 3 stories
5) Write story
6) Do poetry response thingys for 392
7) Do my last few jounals for 392
