Jun. 4th, 2005 11:57 pmThe song meme, because [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] asked us to.
List six of your current favourite songs. Then pass the baton to six other people.
In no particular order:
1. Come Away with Me: Norah Jones.
2. Ave Maria as sung by my University's Men's Chorale. Gorgeous. If anyone really wants this, drop a comment and I'll do a ysi link.
3. Leaving on a Jet Plane: Chantal Kreviazuk.
4. Bach: Prelude from the Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major, BWV 1007 as performed by Yo Yo Ma. This is track 9 from the Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World soundtrack.
5. Twilight and Shadow: Composed by Howard Shore. Track 8 of the RotK soundtrack.
6. Vaughan Williams: Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis. This is track 6 of the Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World soundtrack. This song in particular is my mood song. It seems to fit nearly every mood I have, and no matter how I feel when I listen to it, I always feel different when the song is over. This one tugs at my heartstrings, and never fails to be played at least once a day. One of the few songs where I hear something I had never heard before every time I listen. The day that I stop doing this will be a sad day indeed.
I'm asking [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] to do this, the rest of you do as you please. :)
