I finally told mom yesterday that Matt and I are going to Scotland. She actually didn't blow up at me, which was totally surprising. I told her that I wasn't 100% sure we were going becaue I wanted to be damn sure I could afford to finish school, wchih is obviously more important. I'll be fine, so we're going. Now for the part that really pisses me off. We are leaving on Thanksgiving Day. We were leaving very late on Thanksgiving to allow both us time to spend the holdiay with our families. We were scheduled to leave DAyton Int'l airport at 4:50 and then leave Newark around 7:50 for Glasgow. Note the use of the past tense. Matt found out yesterday, after I reassured my mother that yes, I would be home for part of the day, that we are now scheduled to leave Dayton at 10:15 AM. I am not a happy camper. Apparently, there were not enough people on the 4:50 flight, so they bumped all of us down to the 10:15, and there's nothing they can do about it. So we now have an 8 hour layover in Newark's airport on Thanksgiving Day. We also have an 8 hour layover in Newark when we come home too. Not. Happy.

To celebrate the upcoming end of the quarter, I bought two books tonight. One is The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett, and the other is Eragon by Christopher Paolini. I must resist the temptation to read both of these now as I'll probably take one of them on the plane with me.

List of things to do for my reference:
1) Email and print poems
2) Buy folder for 392 portfolio
3) Grocery shopping
4) Write up comments for 3 stories
5) Write story
6) Do poetry response thingys for 392
7) Do my last few jounals for 392
